Provenate started in 2022, when Gonzalo Escandarani and Paul Hutchinson brought their backgrounds in software engineering, product development and operational consulting to distilleries and bottlers. Every site had the same problem: production data, cask movements, duty returns and financials spread across spreadsheets, old systems and paper. Nothing on the market matched how a distillery actually runs.

Whisky is traditional and heavily regulated. Distilleries need precision, traceability and clean duty records, but the tools available were slow, rigid and built for other industries.

So we built Provenate: one system for production, stock, duty and finance that operators, managers, finance teams and owners can all trust. Every feature comes from real workflows and real problems we've seen on site.

We're not here to change how whisky is made. We're here to cut the paperwork, so your team spends less time on admin and more time making whisky.
